Heihe, Heilongjiang province, saw China's first Sino-Russian cross-border marathon on Saturday as the 2025 Heihe Marathon kicked off.
The event attracted nearly 4,000 Chinese and Russian runners to embark on a festive run that celebrated the blend of sports and culture.
The event featured a full marathon, a half marathon, a fun run, and a 10-kilometer cross-border bridge run.
Starting from the Tengchong-Heihe Theme Park of the Population Geography Boundary of China, the runners crossed the Heihe-Blagoveshchensk Heilongjiang Highway Bridge, then passed the national border on the way to the port in Russia's Amur Oblast.
